— A note from the founder

“We do not design rooms. We design the quiet architecture of how a business is felt — by its people, its clients, and the city around it.”

James Ellingworth · Founding Partner

— 001 · Our philosophy

Restraint, over noise.

We believe the best commercial interiors are the ones you notice second. First, you feel the room work — the light, the acoustics, the way a team gathers or a client is received. Then, slowly, you begin to read the detail.

Our work is rooted in a British tradition of quiet material craft — hand-finished timber, honest stone, considered brass — and a modernist discipline of proportion and plan. We design for longevity, not the trade press.

We keep every project under the direct care of a founding partner. Nothing leaves the studio without our name on it, and nothing goes on site without one of us there.

— 002 · Our approach

A method, four movements.

  • 01

    Listen

We begin with the business — how it works, what it values, where it is going. Design follows understanding, not the other way round.

  • 02

    Interpret

We translate strategy into space: floorplates, adjacencies, materials, light. Every decision is tested against the brief.

  • 03

    Refine

We prototype at scale — mock-ups, samples, walk-throughs. Nothing is left to the site.

  • 04

    Deliver

We lead the site from first strip-out to final commissioning. The team that designed it is the team that hands it over.
